Kenmore Gas Dryer Igniter Glows But No Flame

The hot surface igniter is used in modern gas oven burners to open the gas valve and to ignite the gas.

Remove the igniter and test it for continuity using a multi meter. The flame sensor mounts on the side wall of the burner assembly close to the ignitor. Some problems are. If the igniter has continuity this lets you know the problem is elsewhere.
